The Youth Empowerment Program is an outpatient program designed to help those who need more frequent therapeutic support than once a week. Students are referred to this program by physicians, parents or an agency, such as Children’s Services Board. The referral occurs directly with South Community where the program is housed. The students receive two and one half hours of therapy a day, provided by South Community Mental Health Services and billed to insurance. They also receive 1.25 hours of tutoring a day, which is billed to their home school district. The tutoring is provided by the Montgomery County ESC. Enrollment is limited to 12 months.
